ACPI-TESOL Annual Convention

New Trends in English Language Teaching

English Language teaching is one of the hardest tasks. English is a language that has the possibility of flying and flowing. A language teaches us the secret energy of transformation and growth. It helps us to express the inner changes and fast mutations of our minds. It is through language that we have hope and we trust in the community of human beings. Teachers are part of those living phenomena, and that is why we are encouraged to do things well.

ACPI-TESOL annual convention will deal with such issues, developing some of the current trends related to English language teaching. The convention will focus on the following:

Fostering learner progression: (growth and improvement.) How can we promote critical thinking?

Enhancing new media literacy: Use of Smart phones, iPads, and iPods as tools. How effectively can they be used to enhance motivation and interest?

Implementing effective language policies: (methodologies and techniques.) Modern and proper ways to teach.

Contributions to these issues can be presented in any of the following formats: demonstrations, workshops, discussion groups, poster sessions, video/theatre/presentations, and other experimental formats.

We thank you for your interest and look forward to meeting you at the convention.
